Academic Expectations and Well-Being in School Children

Abstract The current study aimed to explore health behaviour, quality of life and well-being in older children relation social background, parental academic socialisation expectation stress, the role emerging constructs self-compassion psychological capital as potential protective factors. A survey was administered a sample 373 (150 males 223 females) aged between 11 15 years. Children were assessed on expectations home parenting experience, capital, self-compassion, life. Academic stress inversely predictive through its impact behaviour. Findings from this would suggest that positive psychology interventions build may be efficacious reducing negative children.
